Page 03 Author's Notes: This took too long--I had to fix some lineart and the lighting ... oh my the lighting. And, yes, Rory, it is real. Now what are you going to do?

Infinite Spiral: Prologue: Aurora:
Rory (Aurora) Perkins is just a normal girl spending the waning days of summer with her grandparents in the country. When she sets out to catch fireflies one evening, little does she know her curiosity will cause her to leave her own world behind forever, journeying into the Infinite Spiral of realities.

*note to self, when passing through dimensional portals always watch my footing* ;)

More seriously, I love the lighting again, and the FX, and the faceplant! ;)

And I agree it is nice to see heroes that have the same problems we do. Helps to identify with them. I mean, who can really identify with Superman? Invincible? Incorruptible? No vices or character flaws? Doesn't sound like anyone I know. Especially me! ;)

Exactly! Now I have one upcoming character that I'm afraid will have that very problem, and am trying to do some character prewriting/brainstorming so it doesn't happen (so hard, since I invented him when I was 12). Everyone has character flaws somewhere, even if they don't realize it is one.

That faceplant ... Hehehe. I need to watch that scene from "Spirited Away" where Chihiro runs into the wall again. That was very much the inspiration.

I know the feeling. I've got one character I've had in my head for over 10 years (a werewolf created by genetic therapy gone horribly wrong) and I'm still playing with him! It's going to be the hardest thing in the world for me to actually put him into production because I've spent so much time thinking about him and his world. And I still can't decide what style I want him to be in! Sheesh!

And characters who have character flaws, but, don't know it make some of the best fictional characters (and some of the worst people to have to deal with in real life!)

I'll have to watch that movie sometime. (I'm still trying to find time to sit down and watch Steamboy)

Hahaha, Rory is not terrifically coordinated 80% of the time--I love "everyday" heroes (and that one scene in "Spirited Away" where Chihiro runs into a wall). :D Glad you enjoyed!

LOL,nether is the Traveler/Nova. Everyday heroes are really cool, cuz there reaction to situations are pretty much what anyone would do, but with a little bit of something special to put them apart from the crowd.
I can't wait to
