Page 05 Author's Notes: Rory is now cold and wet, and this lighthouse is creepy (not to mention bigger on the inside). To make matters worse, she's hearing voices (and still being watched). Hmm ... that statue looks familiar too ... This may be my favorite page so far.
Infinite Spiral: Prologue: Aurora: Rory (Aurora) Perkins is just a normal girl spending the waning days of summer with her grandparents in the country. When she sets out to catch fireflies one evening, little does she know her curiosity will cause her to leave her own world behind forever, journeying into the Infinite Spiral of realities.

Haha. I still cannot believe I dreamed up parts of this scene asleep, with the angel and before I wsntroduced to Doctor Who! I am glad you are enjoying the jokes this has now inspired.
Got to love the Tardis effect ... works in cartoon pockets too ... well and Christmas Specials. Glad you like this page. I really felt like I started getting a feel for the digital tools I was using on this one.
I like the way you handled the rocks. Your style reminds me a bit of Kazu Kibuishi's work The Amulet. (this is a big compliment on my part as I think his artwork is great)
Thank you kindly! I will have to look into that--I'm always learning from the work of other artists (dA is great for that too!). I hope you continue to enjoy it.
Welcome! And I agree. DA is great and I am always learning too. DA and Youtube are great resources to improve your art.
If you're interested, here's a link to the Scholastic page for the Amulet. (it is supposedly a kids book, but, I love checking it out from the library just to ogle the artwork LOL) [link]
Which means you are automatically watched!
