James's fuzzy memory is frustrating him a bit, and just thinking of Gavin messes with James' head. That or this book is full of potent stuff. Well, it could also have something to do with James randomly healing Christian in the library. Or all three. My bet is on all three. At any rate, the whole ordeal is giving him strange flashes of words and Rory (and he doesn't even know her yet!).
As a side note, I'm looking at this page going, why? There are so many layers of painted light ... Also, I prefer this page without the words, but the snippets you can make out are a necessity for the plot.
